Well rounded kids.

I was looking through some photos I had uploaded to the computer and thought this was so funny. I had some photos from when Glenn took the boys (Elvis included) out wheelin' with some of his guy friends a few weeks ago. The boys had a TERRIFIC time, and came back absolutely COVERED in mud! Poor Grayson got his shoe stuck in one of the huge mud puddles, as you can see in the second photo. They actually fell asleep in the car on the way home, they were so exhasted.

And no, Hunter's not puking in the photo above (lol), he was having fun playing on the CB!

So, then as I kept looking through the photos I found these that I had taken, also a few weeks ago. It's so funny how well rounded our boys are. Not only do they like to play rough and get dirty and do all of those "boy" things, but they are not too macho to want to play dress-up with their mommy. By the way...they are going to KILL me if they find out I put these photos on here, so let's keep it between us! Hehe! :)

I can't do it!

Sometimes I feel like I am never going to get caught up on everything I need to get done. Here's a list of things I need to get done before this weekend, while taking care of 6 kids (4 under the age of 2)! I'm going to lose my mind!

* Finish the photo montage for Wendy Wyatt for the wedding reception
* Put together a plan for Amanda & Thomas' wedding photography
* Make hotel reservation for Glenn and I for the wedding shoot on April 18th
* Neighborhood Association meeting Thursday night
* Cub Scout den meeting Wednesday night
* Go over activity plans with Glenn for Cub Scout meeting
* Do a mountain of laundry (this is NO exaggeration)
* Clean up bedroom to make room for the new chaise
* Find out about Camp Widjiwagan registration for Hunter (deadline is coming up!)
* Call a plumber about lack of hot water pressure
* Get Bridget's bachlorette party gift (lingerie)
* Prepare for Fusion 09 Art Show on Saturday (get cards ready, tags, hanging, story print)
* Finish YMCA registration
* Set up a workout schedule for the Y (classes, etc.)

Ok, this is all I can think of for now. And man, it really helps to be able to get it all out!

You've got to read this book!

After watching Rabbi Shmuley on Dr. Phil the other day, Glenn and I both agreed that it sounded like an interesting book. But, to my surprise, Glenn went and picked up a copy, and I cannot put it down! It provides such an interesting take on relationships, sexuality, and how we live life in general. Don't be fooled by the title, this book is in no way related to the Kama Sutra! It deals with what's real about our sexuality and how we interact with our spouse in all aspects. What an eye opener...I suggest every couple read this book, especially if you're engaged! How I wish I had known some of these things before I walked down the aisle!

So sad today...

Linda and Pete put in their two week notice today. Needless to say I am SUPER BUMMED. I love that little guy so much, but I understand that in this business I have to be careful not to get too attached to the kids, it's just so hard sometimes! They are moving him to a daycare center closer to their home, which I completely understand because it is a long drive out here for them everyday. I know they will be happy to save all that gas money, but I'm still holding out hope that they'll change their mind...hehe. :P

I have to make a doctor's appointment.

I've tried to deny the fact that I have severe allergies for years now. I have got to make a doc appointment and get on some kind of daily allergy medicine. Any other allergy sufferers reading this? If so, let me know what works for you to alive the symptoms (chest congestion, sinus pressure, itchy and watery eyes), and if you take a daily medication, what works for you?

I hate this weather!

Ok, so what is with this bi-polar weather?!?! On Tuesday evening we went to Hamilton Creek and had a picnic by the lake, the boys played at the playground, and we took the dogs on a nature hike...it was 80 DEGREES! Today I'm watching ice and snow falling outside my window. I'm so pissed! It was so nice to see you Spring, please come back! Was it something I said?!

Grayson's Playdate

Today has been a busy one to say the least. I have Grayson, the four daycare kiddos, and Eric and Brandi's two little girls. Did I mention that all 7 kids are UNDER THE AGE OF FOUR?!?! What in the world was I thinking? But, truthfully, they're all wonderful, well behaved children. Grayson has absolutely loved having Mackenzie here to play with today, as they're only a month and a half apart in age. Although he's been around Mackenzie dozens of times, he still acted a little shy at first, but luckily he came around pretty quickly and they've been playing all morning!

I often worry about Grayson feeling left out or second fiddle to his older brother. And, in trying so hard to make sure he doesn't feel that way I think sometimes I actually end up showing him too much attention and maybe not enough to Hunter. I don't know, it seems like no matter what I do I feel like I'm leaving the other out, even if we're all doing something together. Does that make any sense? Ugh, I guess that's just part of having more than one child. Well, anyway, it's been nice seeing him not compete for attention today, and just truly enjoying himself with a friend. Good for you buddy....mommy's so proud! xoxo

WOW

Ok, so I decided to login and update my blog, and in looking back through my old posts I realized something...I have been seriously depressed for a while! Now that things in my life are going much smoother, I would really like to make this blog a place to write about the interesting and funny things that happen in my life. I promise NO MORE political talk (just for all my repub. friends!) So be sure to check back often....I love you guys! xoxo
